Every company that has embarked on a path of experimentation and careful qualification of its productions focuses particularly on those types of wines that express greater potential, to make the leap in quality that from the correct product leads to the real "champion". For us, although we are aware that we are certainly not at the point of arrival, and we will always try to improve our production, the "champion" is this Roggio del Filare, a selection of Rosso Piceno Top of which we have proposed the first edition starting from the '93 harvest. Obtained mainly from Montepulciano and Sangiovese grapes, as required by the production disciplinary of the Denomination, aged in French oak barriques, the wine has a beautiful color, bright and concentrated, ample and elegant aromas reminiscent of morello cherry and small red fruits, equally taste large, soft, variegated, with successful and balance between fruit and wood. Red ruby lively and brilliant with slight garnet reflections. Nose intense and articulated, with intensely fruity aromas, notes of jam, blackberry, cherry that integrate perfectly with the spicy notes of the wood. In the mouth it has good pulp and well-ripened tannins; velvety in the pulp epoxy in the texture, rightly tannic e fruity. Its flavor hot, persistent, full-bodied ed harmonic make it a distinct and charismatic wine.

harvest By hand, early in the morning or in the late afternoon, in small crates placed before arriving in the cellar, in refrigerated cells. Mid October.
winemaking After destemming, the grapes are conveyed into 100 Hl steel fermenters, equipped with a programmable pumping over system (to obtain maximum results of color extraction and softness of the wine), and temperature control. There maceration on the skins it lasts for about 20 days.
Refinement After fermentation, the wine is placed in new barriques from various French artisan tonnellerie for about 18 months.
