The Valpolicella Classico Superiore “Rafaèl” announces itself from the very beginning as a red wine with character and personality. The sip is incisive and round, thanks also to the aging period spent in wooden barrels and to the nose there is a definite progression of wide and colorful aromas, which from red fruit reach balsamic nuances, closing on slightly toasted and spicy tones. A label where nothing is out of place, with which Tommasi tells one of the different faces with which the Valpolicella terroir comes to life in the glass.

This Valpolicella Classico by Tommasi originates from an excellent blend of both native and international red grape varieties. Next to Corvina, which leads the blend with 60%, we find Cabernet Franc and Oseleta, grown in a vineyard located near the small town of San Pietro in Cariano, nicknamed 'Rafaèl'. The must, obtained from the soft pressing of the berries, ferments at a controlled temperature of 25-30 degrees, macerating on the skins for 8 days. It then proceeds with the refinement, carried out in Slavonian oak barrels with a capacity of 65 hectoliters for a period of 15 months, at the end of which the bottling and marketing operations are carried out.

The “Rafaèl” Valpolicella Classico Superiore announces itself to the eye with a deep and concentrated ruby ​​red color. On the nose there are sensations with good complexity, in which fruity and floral notes alternate with nuances of balsamic herbs, which emerge on the finish. On the palate it is full-bodied, characterized by a concentrated sip and pleasant, in which the tannins are soft and enveloping; it closes with a finish of good persistence. A Veneto red by Tommasi that goes well with grilled meats and first courses from the land.
