Produced from 100% Sangiovese grapes, selected bunch by bunch from the best vineyards, with a limited yield of about 1 kg per plant, often harvested beyond the usual levels of ripeness.
It is a long-aged wine, a strong expression of the soils of San Giusto a Rentennano.Rosso ruby resplendent, of plump consistency. Perfect nose, with delicate aromas of cherry and wild berries, violet pastilles, cigar box, rhubarb and fine spices. Extremely rich in the mouth, it seduces with tapered tannins and vibrant freshness. The finish is unexceptionable, long and complex.

Soil composition Most of the vineyards destined for the production of Percarlo are located on soils of Pliocene origin, formed by layers of sand and pebbles (tuff) from 2 to 5 meters deep, below which there are clay banks. To a lesser extent they are found on marl and alberese soils, on the southwestern side of the company; the vineyards of "Corsignano", near Monti in Chianti, are instead located on decidedly more clayey soils.

harvest 26-29 September. Selected bunch by bunch from the best vineyards, grapes often harvested beyond the usual levels of ripeness.
winemaking Fermentation e maceration takes place in enamelled concrete tanks and lasts up to 30-35 days.
Refinement 22 months in 225 liter and 500 liter French oak barrels (Allier, Nevers) and 30 hl barrels. Refinement in bottle: 15 months.
