Massetino it is a great wine structure and longevity, it is produced in extremely limited quantities thanks to the rigorous selection and the philosophy of excellence that inspires it, only 5000 bottles were produced for the first vintage.

Ruby dark and concentrated.

Of great olfactory impact, it recalls small red fruits in jam and in spirit, spices and dried violets, then vanilla tobacco, fern, undergrowth, cinchona and mineral gusts.

Soft and structured, it has tannins of remarkable workmanship and exuberant freshness. Persistence very long, with fruity and mineral returns.

harvest Between 3 and 15 September the grapes were harvested by hand in 15 kg crates in four steps according to the different parts of the vineyard. The bunches carefully evaluated in the field were carefully selected on a double sorting table, before and after destemming.
winemaking The bunches of Masseto are subjected to a double selection, before and after destemming. In practice, every single grape is carefully checked as it slowly advances on the sorting table and is discarded if it is not perfect to continue towards the fermentation tanks. At this point the grapes continue in the cuverie, where the most advanced technology of steel joins its forces with the tradition of wood. Fermentation takes place in state-of-the-art stainless steel tanks that allow perfect temperature control. During this phase, the progress of fermentation in each tank, which represents a specific plot of the vineyard, is methodically followed thanks to daily tastings.
Refinement 24 months in a controlled temperature environment at the Tenuta dell'Ornellaia cellar. After the first 12 months of aging, the assembly was carried out, and the wine was then reintroduced into the barriques for a further 12 months. After bottling, the wine was then subjected to a aging in bottle for 12 months before being placed on the market.
Grado alcohol 14,00% by volume
