Il Feudi San Gregorio Fiano di Avellino Pietracalda It is a very structured still white wine produced in the Irpinia region, in the heart of the Campania Apennines. L'Irpinia is a historic area of winemaking in which the vines share this sour land with fruit trees and centuries-old olive groves.
Despite being in Campania, this area has a microclimate very different from the rest of the region, it is often windy and it rains frequently but regularly. Furthermore, being a succession of hills and mountains, winters are harsh even if short.

The vineyards of Feudi San Gregori are a Sorbo Serpico, about an hour from Naples and Vesuvius, are earthly rich in clay, which can reach up to 50% of the overall composition of the soil. Clay is a very important element in the cultivation of vineyards as it has a natural contrasting action to the drought of the hot season and keeps the acidity of the grapes stable. Pietracalda is a wine produced by 100% Fiano grapes, brought to Italy by the Greeks, and is a wine with DOCG classification, Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin, i.e. all the vinification and bottling processes take place in the province of Avellino. The harvest takes place in mid-September, the vinification process is characterized by a maturation of about 4 or 5 months with permanence on its own yeasts and repeated batonnage to put the fine sediments deriving from fermentation in suspension. Strong straw yellow. The scent ranges from fresh chamomile flowers to freshly picked fruit and candied citron. On the palate the typical varietal notes of softness of the grape are balanced by lively freshness and minerality.
