The history of the Volcano is dotted with eruptions that have shaped its shape. Legendary that of 1614, which lasted 10 years, the longest in historical times: the vines that produce this wine grow right on this flow. Nerello Mascalese and to a small extent Nerello Cappuccio grown on black soils at altitude, for an intense red in the aromas and elegant in its structure. Extraordinary aromas of officinal herb incense, hibiscus and wild fennel from lava sands. Luminous and lyrical wine, it tells the character and refinement of great mountain reds without filters but at latitudes close to Africa. The compact fabric tannins are elegantly extracted. The sweetness and generosity of wild berries and currants mixes with the scents of incense and beeswax, a slight almost salty touch invites a return to the glass.
