Amarone della Valpolicella Classic DOC it's a Red wine raisin dry produced in Veneto which sees its origins as early as the fourth century after Christ, where it was produced as a wine obtained from dried grapes and called Acinatico. Later it took the name of Recioto, initially wine with a sweet flavor that over time, becoming more bitter, was called Amarone. The production area includes the foothills that goes from the province of Verona to the border with that of Vicenza. THE vines used are Corvinone (50%), Corvina Veronese (45% to 95%) e Swallow (from 5% to 30%) and grow in an area with a mild climate and not very rainy. The territory is in fact protected by the Lessini mountain range and the vines are exposed to the south, therefore subject to a favorable climate. The soils have a calcareous composition and of volcanic origin which affect the different water supply given to the viti in the growth phase.

The particular process of winemaking, provides for a period of drying of the grapes which then see the final phase of completion of the wine, first in oak barrels and subsequently a further aging in glass bottles. It is precisely the drying of the grapes that gives this wine its own characteristic flavor of raisin, thanks to the high concentration of sugars which, after transformation into wine, give life to its typical flavor, completely dry and bitter. Amarone della Valpolicella finds its typical example in the Speri Amarone della Valpolicella classic Sant'Urbano DOCG, which with its ancient family tradition gives life to a wine of high quality and elegance. Red garnet intense, scent ethereal of dried fruit. On the palate it is full-bodied, hot, enveloping, dry. An important wine of rare elegance, it lends itself well to aging.
