Paolo Panerai in the agricultural field and beyond, has transformed all his brilliant ideas into concrete professional successes. After the adventure of Castellare di Castellina - a company of which you can find a dedicated sheet - which deservedly made him attribute the title of inspired vigneron by the universal food and wine critics, it was easy to aim for the unattainable for most, by forming an oenological joint-venture with Baron Eric de Rothschild of the noble lineage linked to the stellar Premier Cru Classé of the Médoc Château Lafite-Rothschild. The partnership project has seen as its fulcrum an excellent terroir, the Maremma one between Gavorrano and Ribolla, an area where temperatures are warmer than in Chiantigiano and Montalcino. The cellar designed by the genius of Renzo Piano is the realm of Alessandro Cellai, one of the favorite pupils of the champion of Italian enology Giacomo Tachis, who unfortunately passed away in 2016. The array of labels presented are a tribute to the sunshine of the Maremma, which unfortunately is missing only the royal Merlot Baffonero, we will talk about it again in the next edition.
