In 1981 the Swiss spouses Bruno and Brigitte Widmer fall in love with a company in Castellina in Chianti in a state of neglect, they take over it, refurbish it and just two years after the purchase they are already on everyone's lips for having defeated during a Chianti Classico tasting competition. If the appetite comes with eating here a real feast has been made above all of recognition, in Italy as well as in the international field and so the activity has registered an expansion with the acquisition in 1989 of a farm in Radda in Chianti and in 1998 with the genesis of Brancaia in Maremma. In conjunction with this last purchase, the daughter Barbara joined the company with the role of oenologist, who avails herself of the precious advice of the consultant Carlo Ferrini. The wines presented as always offer great emotions, where the head to head between Ilatraia and Blu becomes even tighter.
